Natural parks

The Maremma Natural Park, also known as the “Uccellina Park”, was the first park established in Tuscany and is still one of the most important naturalistic destinations in the entire region.
The territory of the park extends along the Tyrrhenian coast from Principina a Mare to Alberese, up to Talamone and includes a succession of various ecosystems, in which different natural environments coexist, which play an essential role for wildlife.
From a naturalistic point of view, the complex formed by the Uccellina Mountains, the pine forest of Marina di Alberese, the mouth of the Ombrone river and the Paludi della Trappola constitutes a precious mosaic of ecosystems on which man has acted in different times and ways, further characterizing the landscape without however degrading and impoverishing it.
